| 5th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON VISUAL CULTURE APRIL 15-16, 2019 | SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO | Interamerican University of Puerto Rico Dear colleague, We would like to inform you that the 5th International Congress on Visual Culture will be held at the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 15-16, 2019. This international Congress is held annually in different cities around the world and brings together academic leaders in this field of study and emerging researchers. The Congress is a forum for academics focused on the crucial challenges faced by visual culture in today's world, bringing together local and global perspectives. It is an event that contributes to the exchange of ideas and good practices through the promotion of disciplinary, national, cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity. We invite all those who wish to submit a proposal to present their work, be it a lecture, workshop, or poster addressing visual culture through some of the following topics: Theme 1: Image and Society Theme 2: Visual Culture Theme 3: History and Philosophy of Visual Theme 4: The Industry of Image 2019 Highlighted Theme: Latin America from the Image: the Historical Narrative and Visual Culture Selected conference papers will be published in the associated indexed journal.
