Competition open to aspiring student writers
Many crucial issues facing the developing world are often overlooked
or underrepresented by the media. The Guardian International
Development Journalism Competition aims to find enthusiastic writers
who want to demonstrate their journalistic abilities by examining
these issues.
This is a great opportunity for your students to be published
alongside some of the best journalists in the UK and become one of 16
finalists taken on assignment to Africa or Asia to write a feature
that will be published in a special Guardian supplement later this year.
All entrants need to do is write a 650-1000 word article on an aspect
of global poverty covered by the themes

and upload it using our online entry form at the website. The entry
period closes on 30 April 2010
