| GKA VISUAL 2020 | 6th International Conference on Visual Culture APRIL 16-17, 2020 | PARIS, France | Université Paris Diderot This international conference is held annually in different cities around the world and is a space for the exchange of ideas and practices among international researchers, functioning as an interdisciplinary forum and as a seed for future collaborative projects. The event aims to develop innovative spaces for the creation and exchange of knowledge among experts, professors and international researchers on a wide range of disciplines related to visual culture. In 2020, the HIGHLIGHTED THEME of the conference will be "Image and gesture. Expression in thought and behavior". Gesture and image establish the artist’s personal stamp and are the marks of authorship. It is that which makes each work totally irreplaceable- the stamp of individuality. On the other hand, there are also dialogues with those who receive these artistic forms, generating mediations, rethinking identities and provoking cultural ‘hybridizations. Some of the conference keynotes will be Prof. Rachida Triki, from University of Tunis (Tunisia), Prof. Teresa Aizpún, from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), Prof. Filipe Martins, from Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and Prof. Rafael Cabrera Collazo, from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico). We invite all those who wish to participate to submit a proposal, be it a lecture, workshop, poster or virtual presentation, addressing the highlighted theme or one of the conference’s OTHER THEMES, which can be found here: https://gkacademics.com/conferences/gka-visual/#themes Authors may submit an article for publication in a journal or book of Global Knowledge Academics after being reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
