GKA VISUAL 2020 | 6th International Conference on Visual Culture APRIL 16-17, 2020 | PARIS, France | Université Paris Diderot This international conference is held annually in different cities around the world and is a space for the exchange of ideas and practices among international researchers, functioning as an interdisciplinary forum and as a seed for future collaborative projects. The event aims to develop innovative spaces for the creation and exchange of knowledge among experts, professors and international researchers on a wide range of disciplines related to visual culture. In 2020, the HIGHLIGHTED THEME of the conference will be "Image and gesture. Expression in thought and behavior". Gesture and image establish the artist’s personal stamp and are the marks of authorship. It is that which makes each work totally irreplaceable- the stamp of individuality. On the other hand, there are also dialogues with those who receive these artistic forms, generating mediations, rethinking identities and provoking cultural ‘hybridizations. Some of the conference keynotes will be Prof. Rachida Triki, from University of Tunis (Tunisia), Prof. Teresa Aizpún, from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), Prof. Filipe Martins, from Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and Prof. Rafael Cabrera Collazo, from Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico). 7th International Symposium and Conference on Creative Education-Creativity for Sustainable Education 20th to 23rd April 2020 Jyväskylä, Finland This conference is a platform to discuss the role of sustainability in education and how creativity and innovation play a major role in bringing it into reality. The invitation is for the researchers, university students, teachers, and sustainability enthusiasts. We believe that everyone has an idea worth sharing so the platform is open to all through various panel discussions, Socratic dialogue, Creative classrooms, and paper presentations. The Creative Classroom is an innovative way of presentation where we can see the actual implementation of teaching/learning techniques in a classroom-like setting. Of course, it doesn't mean that you have to restrict yourself within the indoor settings. The conference is organized by the Council for Creative Education in collaboration with the University of Jyväaskyla and UNESCO to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day.
