Eleventh International Conference on the Image University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia 9–10 September 2020 https://ontheimage.com/sydneyconference-2020 CALL FOR PAPERS The Eleventh International Conference on the Image will be held at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, 9–10 September 2020. We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, artistic works, virtual lightning talks, virtual posters, or colloquia addressing one of the following themes: Theme 1: The Form of the Image Theme 2: Image Work Theme 3: The Image in Society 2020 SPECIAL FOCUS: Visual Pedagogies: Encounters, Place, Ecologies, and Design CONFERENCE SUBMISSION DEADLINES The next proposal deadline is 9 February 2020. We welcome the submission of presentation proposals at any time of the year up until 30 days before the start of the conference. All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. In film and animation, digital models create fictitious places on scales unimagined. Installation artists make space interactive through digitising motion, sound and heat. Projection mapping allows artists to reinterpret the past in-situ. Photographers use digital cameras to document city stories.
